READING

As we continue with our Independent Reading, the children are very excited as they move up levels. They have been picking lots of new books and new interests. Please continue to encourage your child to read more every night.

Writing Workshop

We are very busy making our Nonfiction How To... pieces. The students have been doing research to find out the history about their topic. They are very excited and having fun writing. Every day the children are so sad when we have to stop writing for the day. We can't wait to share them with you!

Peace Day Celebration

Peace Day was a huge hit. It was on April 22. We all helped to make a soft, adorable blanket that will be given to children who are in the hospital for illnesses. We also participated in a peace lesson in the classroom, a music presentation for the whole school and at the end of the day ice cream! We all felt woderful feelings for peace!

Fourth Grade Testing

HOORAY!! We have completed the English Language Arts State Test! I'm sure the children all did their best! Now we are moving on to the Mathematics State Testing. It will be given the 5th, 6th and 7th of May. Then we will move on to the Science State Test which will be the week of May 25th.
